Research and Creation Residencies
Your Projects in Action
The East-West Cultural Centre is opening its doors to artists and researchers, with the aim of transforming the Château de Saint-Germain into a hub for dialogue between East and West.
Building bridges between eras, regions and the arts.
Are you working on an artistic project or academic research exploring the links between the East and the West?
Our residences offer a unique setting in which to bring your ideas to life, combining a rich heritage with an international outlook.
We want our residencies to be conceived as vibrant bridges where the process of research meets that of creation.
Whether you are working on local memory, the roots of culture in rural areas, traditional techniques (such as Nihon-ga or Kamishibai) or contemporary hybrid forms, we offer an environment conducive to experimentation.
We encourage research and creative projects that foster a dialogue between the history of a region and sensibilities from elsewhere.
What we offer:
- A solid foundation: Exclusive access to the Château de Saint-Germain and its grounds, which offer a prestigious setting and facilities that are ideal for creative work.
- Support: Networking with artists and partners at the centre.
- Visibility: The opportunity to showcase your work at our events or conferences.
We are looking for projects which, through their high standards and originality, contribute to the cultural bridge we are building day by day.
